About

Cristina Ainhoa Martín is a first-generation American actor of Spanish and Latin American heritage known for portraying intelligent, emotionally complex women with warmth, wit, and quiet strength.
Drawing from a background in classical music, improvisation, and screen acting, she is equally at home in dark comedy, independent film, crime procedurals, musicals, and character-driven drama. Her early training was in vocal performance and classical music, leading to performances throughout Europe and the United States, including a memorable appearance at Carnegie Hall. After graduating from a performing arts high school, she moved to New York City to pursue professional training in acting, voice, and theater. Her education combined conservatory study, private coaching, studio training, and professional experience, allowing her to develop her craft both inside and outside traditional academic settings.

Cristina's background also includes extensive improv and sketch comedy training through the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, The Second City and Improv Olympic. She has appeared in national commercials, independent film, and recently completed work on a feature film, currently in post-production, alongside Orlando Pineda and Martin Martinez.

She is drawn to stories that explore identity, belonging, resilience, and human connection, and hopes her work contributes to a deeper understanding of ourselves and one another.
